Lovely but sweetly run down

Lovely, if sweetly rundown houses and buildings. Very interesting waterfront but needs some major investment. River is beautiful. Ripe for tourism development.

Lovely, if sweetly rundown houses and buildings. Very interesting waterfront but needs some major investment. River is beautiful. Ripe for tourism development.

The visitors center was not very helpful, but to their credit, they were understaffed and dedicated to providing brown bag lunches to participants in an antique car race that was making a scheduled stop in town. We drove through 3 areas that were designated as historic areas, and all we saw were homes in severe disrepair. E. Main St. was... More
