Best Golf in Northeastern NC

Challenging course with elevated greens. Greens usually run around 8-9. Well maintained with a decent pro shop and great food at the Bistro. About $45/round.

The Pines golf course in Elizabeth City offers players at every level an enjoyable golfing experience in a beautiful northeastern North Carolina setting. With numerous water hazards and fairway bunkers on both the front and back sides, the course generally calls for considerable accuracy off the tee, as well as in your approach shots to the putting greens. The greens... More

I've played golf for over 30 years and feel this is one of the better courses I've played. Its grounds are excellent. The course is set up for beginners off the short tees and better players off the tips. Of course you can play according to your HDCP by picking a tee rated close to what you play at home.... More

There is a new chef and management at The Bistro. Both are highly professional and truly talented. The chef's cuisine is New South, farm to table. The breakfast is wonderful and features Layden's country store sausage. The corned beef hash is made with house prepared corned beef. The dinner menu changes with availability of fresh produce, seafood, and meats. The... More

We attended a class reunion at this facility. The room was fabulous and the food was delicious! The room had plenty of glass windows to bring in natural light. I'd return again.

Took the kids here for a pool day. Ages 11 and 8 they had fun for an hour then started getting bored. Was a very nice pool and they did love the fountains. They wished there was a slide or diving board. I thought it was very nice minus NO Bathrooms. Had to walk back to the bistro and through... More

We went here not to play golf, but for a reception dinner after my best friend's wedding. The meal was exceptional with the baked ziti, Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, great green beans, mouthwatering rolls and several appetizers. We were extremely impressed by the meal offered for the reception. The hall was beautifully decorated and the staff was extremely friendly. I... More

Played on a Saturday afternoon in just over 4 hours. Nice folks in the pro shop, good food in the clubhouse. Course pretty flat, parallel holes that confused our handheld GPS, slow greens. Not bad, but nothing special.

This is at the golf course in NW Elizabeth city. Just bar food. Nothing special. I would not bother again. But if that is all you are looking for - go for it.
