Great fun and learning for Granddaughter. Good amount of "gems" in each bucket, and larger sizes too. Fun to see baby goats and bunnies also on site. Nice gift shop for adults and kids.

Chose this mine based on the Groupon deal. Our kids had a wonderful time and the staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Was a great experience and would definitely go back.

A great value. Kids got a good amount of gems while mining their buckets. Beautiful stones and gems in the shop. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Hello! I don't know of any NC gem mines that let you use a pick axe. Maybe Hiddenite but finds are rare. Most people there use backhoes. Good luck with the search.
