Well worth a visit to this spectacular and stunning waterfall. We had an older lady with us who could not walk down to the falls but there is a viewing platform where she was able to also enjoy the waterfall. A truly beautiful waterfall!

Grab your sweetheart and hike down to walk behind this most beautiful waterfall. Moderately difficult due to steps. Not handicap accessible. But can be enjoyed from picnic area by just sitting and enjoying the beauty.

this is an easy fall to get to, you do have to walk down some steps, but it's not hard to do, it is well worth the short walk down.

You would be an idiot to not stop here to enjoy this waterfall if you are in the area. Beautiful and changes with the season. Several viewing platforms for easy shots and stairs that go down to the river below. TONS of people there in the summer swimming in the pol below the falls. Be careful on slick rocks. No... More

Nicest falls around park is very well maintained (by North Carolina). You can walk behind the falls on a safe track. Kid friendly. Though the ride is very windy. Even driving I got motion sick. Would like to go again.

Recently stayed in Franklin and made the short drive to check out Dry Falls -- ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip! Easy to find, plenty of parking up top and sturdy walking paths to view (and walk behind) the falls. I had two little ones under the age of 5 with me and they were... More

Whenever we go to Highlands, we stop off here for the falls. They call it Dry Falls because you can walk behind it and not get wet. Easy 1/8 mile walk to the falls from the parking lot. Not to be missed.

At dry falls, you park in the spacious lot, descend a few stairs, and find yourself on a boardwalk/trail that takes you behind the waterfall and stops just past it. I've never been behind a waterfall before - it was amazing. If it's cold, bring a jacket - you can't avoid getting sprayed/dripped on, but it's all part of the... More

We didn't hike down as our folks are in their 80's. A bit much for them. They have a very functional walk out point that gives you a great view of the Falls. Small parking area easily accessed. One of my favorite Falls in North Carolina.
