What a wonderful tribute to Dale and his legacy. Simply driving around and seeing all the things named for and after Dale. It was nice to get out and just sit on a bench and ponder the things he accomplished in this life.

A small quiet Southern town, Kannapolis honors it's famous son Dale Earnhardt with a small park and statue. It's a very nice tribute. Not far from Charlotte Motor Speedway or the race shops nearby.

The place is cute, but honestly not much to see and do... unless you are a big fan, not worth to get out of your way to visit it.

My gps took me to Lowes Hardware! I just wanted to see the statue and maybe Dale Earnhardt Inc! What a waste of my time!

I grew up a dale sr. fan and finally had the chance to take in the statue and plaza and hometown of my racing idol. It's a neat little town off the beaten path. Certainly worth checking in if your in the area

This statue is dedicate to Dale after his passing. There are other things around her to do also. And Dale's parents house are only a few blocks away and yes they still lived there where Dale grew up in that small house of 1200 sqft.

Wonderful place to relax, read a book, and if you are a race fan hang out with Dale! Beautiful park, well maintained in the heart of downtown Kannapolis. Near the Loop the Loop exercise path.

Yes----some of the "stops" along the way are ONLY the location that Dale Sr.'s dad's garage that he worked at. There is NOT a building for you to venture through or any documentary about it......
