The ranger at the parking shack did not explain that 99.9% of the exhibits are not accessible due to construction. Pairs the fee to pretty much just see the gift shop. Very disappointed. Come back when they are done

This is a worthwhile visit, especially to see the nice sculpture at the south end of the grounds and the actual historic markers out in the field. Too bad that the obelisk on the top of the hill, marking the historic events, is such a...More

I've been wanting to come here for years. Finally got it done. This is very much an outdoor exhibit, so be prepared for somw walking and whatever the weather is. It's not flashy or exurberant. It's history.

The Visitor's Center was under renovation during our visit, but we still had the opportunity to check out the grounds. Not to mention, the views of Outer Banks are wonderful from the Wright Brothers Monument. Definitely a cool place to explore.

There was still a lot to see and do even though the visitors center is currently closed while undergoing renovation.

very enjoyable ... it's an hour&half max visit and the staffing is sparse, but the memorial and details are good. the main visitor centre is currently closed which was a shame, but a good $7 well spent

The 100th anniversary of Wilbur and Orville’s first flight on December 17, 2003, drew large crowds to the Wright Brothers National Memorial on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Things have been quieter since, but the Memorial is still an exciting and worthwhile place to visit. The...More

The Wright brothers memorial is interesting and fun to learn about. The statue at the top of the hill is beautiful once you climb up to look at it. A great free thing to do!
