The pier was an average pier with a much needed board replacement that appeared to be in progress. We enjoyed our day. We would come back next time we are in the area.

Unlike some other outlets I've visited, these truly have great prices. The people who work there are all friendly and helpful. A great way to spend a couple of hours on a chilly or rainy day in OBX.

Came in deep midwinter. No fees for parking or pier. Great views of the beach and ocean. Dolphins swimming by end of pier. People around us caught skate and dogfish. You can rent rods and buy bait and extra tackle. Pier has a nostalgic vibe....More

Adults $12, Kids $6 is the daily rate. We were there for just 1 day.

the website for the avalon pier would answer any and all your questions...but I believe it is $12.00 per person per day and there is a little bait shop right there on pier for all your fishing needs. Have fun it's a great... More
