Dog Friendly, warm/ inviting atmosphere with activities for all ages to enjoy!
May 2021
I give this venue two thumbs up!!! Staff is very knowledgeable about Wine and Beer and offered a ton of variety from all across the world. I loved that dogs were allowed on the property as my pooch really enjoyed all of the attention and company. Music was fantastic and brought out an extremely large crowd. The food truck did take a little bit to get our order to us, but that is to be expected when there are over 1000 hungry visitors wanting to eat at the same time. It didn't matter how long the wait was however, because the food was absolutely to die for!!! The brisket is hands down the best in the area! If you are looking for a unique place to spend the day with either your furry friends or children/friends I would highly recommend you visit this venue.

Buyer Beware!!!!! Scammed out of our money.
Aug 2019
We ordered a case of wine on August 8, 2019 and never received it. After making multiple calls and sending multiple emails - management has stopped communicating and will not issue a refund. General Manager "Farley" has given multiple excuses like: he doesn't answer his phone if he doesn't know the number, he is super busy, too many vendors and artist call him.. and these are the reason he can't be bothered to return a call. We have left message with the tasting room for the owners that have not be returned. They have now stated they no longer ship wine, and would refund our order. That was months ago and still no refund. Ultimately, we have been scammed. Since they kept stringing us along, the purchase is now outside of the window to be disputed with our credit card company and we will never see the money again nor receive the product. Buyer Beware!!!

Great fun, Lively Winery
Mar 2020
My wife and I recently toured the attractions of Lewisville, NC and we stumbled upon this gem. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of all things wine and beer. It was a great pleasure speaking with them. Their wine selection was excellent, supplying not only estate offerings, but also some seriously tasty wines from all corners of the world. I'm normally not much a beer drinker, but I tried the "Blood Orange Wheat" at the insistence of their manager and I absolutely fell in love! SO tasty! The three hours of live music (which I understand is a usual occurrence on the weekend) was the cherry on top to our experience. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're passing through.

Dog Friendly - Relaxing and Professional Wine Tasting Experience!
Nov 2019
A friend took me to Westbend Winery and Brewery midday on Friday for my birthday for a wine tasting. Since it was in the middle of the day on a workday, there were very few attendees, but those that were there gave the place a good people vibe.

Though there were plenty of seats at the bar, my friend and I stood for our wine tasting experience. Our sommelier was well versed in each wine he offered us and presented each in a professional and enjoyable way. It was clear that he had a real passion for the wines and the story behind the origin of each one.

I personally have a sweeter pallet when it comes to wine; to my delight, our tasting guide found a perfectly sweet dessert wine for me to have. In contrast, my friend's taste runs more towards dry reds. She was offered a wider selection with her preference and was happy with her choice. We packed a nice cheese, meat, and cracker picnic to enjoy while her dog frolicked about. So, after we finished our wine tasting, we went outside to enjoy the day.

My friend brought her dog who was kindly welcomed inside and offered water by the Westbend employees. He was even allowed off-leash to play frisbee in the large, open field behind the building. Granted, it was a slow day, so his off-leash adventures may have been only permitted situationally. But, if you have a well-behaved dog and other guests are open to it, it may not be a problem on more busy days.

Pleasant Staff, Good Wines and Beer, but Expensive
Oct 2019
We were fortunate enough to visit this winery/brewery on a weekday. Only two others stopped by while we were there. We enjoyed tasting the wines and most were to our liking. My husband also tasted beer which he enjoyed very much. Sadly the beer was not available in cans. Since we were traveling it made no sense to purchase a growler. We did purchase several wines, Grenache, Merlot and Sangiovese. We felt the winetasting charge was excessive but we were there and didn’t want to just leave. The staff was very nice to talk to and parking is ample.

Not good at all
Sep 2019 • Couples
We went to this place that pride their self on being the first bonded winery in North Carolina but yet their wine tasted more like vinegar and they pride their self on making beer which is second rate we were so upset we spent 15 minutes there and luckily went down the road to a near winery and vineyard and had a great time there but do not make this stop over rated and as I look through the reviews most of them are from 10 years ago.

Neat place
Jan 2019 • Couples
We went here because they were open late for tastings and others were closed. It is a neat place with gas fire pits outside. Wine was good and beer was even better! Definitely worth a visit.

Super slow, need better organization
May 2018 • Family
The wine is okay, but not exactly my preferred taste. The service is pretty slow and when they’re busy it’ll take a good 40 minutes to get a wine tasting and 10 minutes to get a glass of wine. I ordered a salad that I waited over an hour for because they forgot to put the order in. A friend that was with us also ordered food and waited 45 minutes. They need to have a better system in place for their food orders or stick to the food trucks.

Relaxed atmosphere - didn’t care for the wine
Mar 2018 • Friends
We were enthusiastic about this place when we pulled in this afternoon. There were lots of people at picnic tables sitting in the sun, little children running around, dogs lounging under tables and a band warming up under the pavilion.

Then we went inside with for a tasting. It was $10 and we tasted 8 wines. None outstanding. The reds all have a strange orange/brown tint to them. Our hostess explained that was “just North Carolina wine” although we know that isn’t the case.

It’s hard to say if the service was relaxed, slow or just not very good. Our hostess was distracted by her cell phone, her lipstick and other customers and their dogs.

We had high hopes & left disappointed.

Local wine and beer made here
Mar 2018 • Family
This is a local treasure. In town but out in the country this place is worth the time to relax and make new friends and have some great wine or a glass of their beer. Tables and chairs always available. Picnics have grassy areas, bring your dog, even your kids. Listen to a varity of local musicians and usually a food truck there for eats. We love it.
