We could not find it, since we approached from 221. GPS said we were there, so when we asked for directions we found out that the entrance to the Linnville Falls parking lot is off the Parkway. Sign says the Linnville Falls Campground, that's confusing...More

A nice walk down the hill through the trees to the lookout points over the falls. Well worth the walk down and back up to get a good photo of these beautiful falls.

Stopped on way to our destination, and after being in a car for 6 hrs, needed to stretch the legs. These trails did the trick. Nothing too difficult, and the views of the falls and the basin were pretty good. The most difficult trail was...More

Linville Gorge is one of our favorite places to visit. It has scenic views, amenities such as quaint hotels and camp grounds, lots of nature including access to Linville Falls, where one can hike moderate to difficult trails to see the Falls and the Gorge....More

After the long walk on uneven terrain, one would hope to be rewarded with a whopper. That was not the case. Yes, the falls are beautiful, as most falls are, but these were just so-so. None the less, we enjoyed the experience.

Really enjoyed these waterfalls with a nice walk to take in all the overlooks. Definitely worth getting off the Parkway to take this in.

Had a great hike with 3 overlooks. Memorial day so we headed out early. Lots of families, dogs and nature including resident rattle snake. He suns just over the bridge so watch where you walk and he'll leave you alone

It's an easy walk to view both the lower and upper falls. You can also take a more challenging trail through the gorge.

Skyline village allows pets. It is a little rustic, but nice.

Can you swim here? Don't see anyone doing it in the pictures, but don't really see why not?

Yup you definitely can but the hike down the plunge Basin is quite the challenge. It an awesome hike and definitely worth it but it's not some gentle walk down and definitely not back up.

I would like to add that you might want to take along a cell phone just as an added precaution. I would hate for you to get stuck after an unfortunate slip. It is quite steep in parts.
