This is small lighthouse that is still shining it's beacon. It is not accessible inside but has handicapped friendly walkway.

This lighthouse is beautiful. It has a very unique look. Unfortunately, you have to look at it from a distance behind a fence. You can't enter it or climb to the top. It's in a residential neighborhood so it's quiet. There is parking for about 4-5 vehicles. If you are riding a bike (and I do recommend renting one while... More

Gorgeous lighthouse but not available to climb up or open at all. We were able to look and take photos of the outside but only plan to spend 10-15 minutes here. It is located in the heart of neighborhood with just a couple parking spots. We rode our bikes and there was ample bike racks available.

The light house is shorter than expected and you can't go inside. It's nestled on the outskirts of town so its easy to get to. Parking is limited, I'd walk if you can. It's a pretty light house and the resident cat was friendly. Lots of good history associated with the lighthouse.

This is an easy find, the lighthouse is now operated by the U.S. Coast Guard. There is limited parking, but this is a must for those interested in lighthouses.

Ocracoke was well worth the 2+ ferry ride from Swan Harbor and we plan on going back in the near future for an extended stay! The ferry ride over was early but smooth, beautiful, and had hot coffee waiting! We were concerned prior to scheduling our trip about finding places to park (if you're from the Northeast you typically are)... More

One of the oldest working lighthouses in existence, Ocracoke Lighthouse is well worth visiting. You can walk right up to the lighthouse, and it is easy to find.

Well maintained lighthouse. Not in service so you cannot climb. Reminds you of times past when sailing was much tougher and dangerous. Need to visit while in Ocracoke.

At 75 feet it is the smallest of the OBX lighthouses we visited, but worth a look because of its history. It's a bit hard to find in a residential area of the island and our GPS had us going in circles but we got there eventually. It is not open to the public.
