The gardens are lovely for a stroll. Especially nice from April-May while the cherry trees, dogwoods, and azaleas are blooming! There is a constant change out of annuals in the back bricked garden so something different to see each season.

If you are in the Pinehurst area, be sure and stop at these gardens. The students at SCC maintain them and even in Winter, it's a very nice presentation of trees and plants. And, they have wonderful paths for a very nice walk.

The gardens are really wonderful in spring, summer and fall. There are different garden "rooms" tucked throughout and it is much more impressive and interesting than anticipated. There are sculptures, perennial gardens, magnificent azaleas in spring and a wonderful Japanese garden. Great place!

Love visiting the Sandhills Gardens throughout the year to see what new plants are flowering. Gem in the Sandhills! Great place for photos, too.

Hidden away within the community college campus is this wonderful collection of gardens. My favorite is the Sir Walter Raleigh English garden. A serene walk thru the Japanese garden and woodland boardwalk. Lots of shaded paths along the way were very nice on a hot...More

What a nice way to spend an afternoon. I only wish you could bring pets, but you can not. They have several 'sections' with gardens. They also have a children's garden, but it seemed not well taken care of when we were there.
