I went there during winter. Less crowded and have all the space you want, all the time you spend there walking with a peace of mind. Do not take the electric train. If you are young and adventurous, please walk. If you don’t want to walk, you could take a short trip on the electric train which would take you... More

Lovely place to visit. If you can avoid the rainy season but it gives a different view at every season. The best time to go is Sept where the temperature is warmer. Avoid walking if you do not have the stamina. Nearly 6000 steps is not for the weak.

The cost from March onwards is ¥250 and then ¥72 each for the gondola rides and elevator. There are buses going to the various sites for those who don't want to walk, but I would suggest that walking some of the pathways really does give you a feel for the place. There are plenty of toilets dotted around which is... More

The mountain views really were breathtaking despite having to fight with the noisy & sometimes obnoxious crowds. There was quite a bit of walking with steps, & with it being the rainy season, non- slip walking shoes with rain gear are recommended. On-site shuttle buses run continuously, but again, one has to put up with unpleasant crowds. Lots of vendors... More

One of the most breathtaking places I have ever seen. The bus system in the park is very easy to use and takes you to the most common areas. Small booths set up by local people to sell food and beverages. We rode on the gondola and the elevator, but chose to walk as much as possible. Walking the stairs... More

Zhangjiajie is a massive reserve area. However, this area is where you are bound to come back to again and again. The reason it's the main gate leading to different zones. One area shall lead you to the Glass Bridge. There's a lot of first for this area. It has the longest glass bridge in the world; it has the... More

Intense in both crowds and stunning scenery this is a popular spot in the park and deservedly so. The first time i was up here it was really foggy so hard to really enjoy it but when I went back the next day it was clearer and my jaw dropped. Really beyond words, well worth fighting the crowds to see... More

This was the only section of the park I was able to see during my tight action packed 3 week trip throughout China but I was not let down, even though I had to pay the hefty entrance price of 240 yuan. The entrance fee is good for four days, but unfortunately I had only one day to visit the... More
