I enjoyed the visit here. The gardens were beautiful and despite the crowds it was peaceful. There were several people praying and lighting candles in the one courtyard we were in. It was interesting to see the different religious and cultural practices. We were only here about an hour so I don't feel we saw the entire site but what... More

Daming temple is a wonderful site to visit. Absolutely worth a visit. Take your time and respect the culture. We found it to be inspiring and lots of great photo opportunities. I strongly recommend this to any tourists, especially those of us from Western Cultures. You cannot understand China without understanding its history and influences.

This temple is extremely large. However, it does not seem to be maintained well. Plants are withering all over the temple. Next, the temple requires both an entrance fee, and a fee which is needed to be paid, if you wish to visit the pagoda, which is clearly the main attraction of the temple. Worth a visit if you want... The big Pagoda seems to be the highlight of this location, unless you want to pray. The temple areas were not in good repair, and neither was the garden lake area. They did seem to be working on some areas, and I hope they maintain the area better in the future.
