Early morning boat ride over the Lake was a pleasant experience. Weather was cooling but the crowd started to roll in and it became almost impossible to walk. Rows and rows of beautiful tulips and other spring flowers blooming everywhere. Best way to experience thus is to book a buggy ride.

The park/garden is big!! If you want to see all the corners and walk the whole routes I think you need 2-3 hours. There is also English speaking guide service. It is a very nice park, many beautiful corners. I enjoyed the architectures, flowers, trees, but it can be a bit too crowded.

This is a very pleasant place to while awày 4 hours or more. There are lots of pretty scenes to photo. The entrance fee is a bit steep at 150 RMB with no reduction for over 65s. We chose a 2-day package at 220 RMB which included He and Ge gardens, DaMing temple and an evening cruise on the Grand... More

First off, we went during national day holiday and it was extremely busy. That said it was a nice place to walk, especially as you got further from the entrance. We hired a boat to go up the lake (not one of the motorized ones but rowed one).it was a peaceful way to see the gardens, away from the crowds... More

Beautiful scenic views all around lake. In winter (Dec) mornings a great view of whole park area, lawn covered with snow dews/crystals glows with sun rays. This lake area well suited if planning for a tradition Chinese background photo shoot. Suitable for all kinds of visitors, we friends enjoyed our team building activity here. Boat ride is recommended.

I actually visited Yangzhou as a means to get further north into China.. I knew nothing about it and had no plans to go.. However, spending a day at the Slender West Lake was a wonderful trip worth doing, and actually turned out to be a highlight in 6 weeks of China for me. It's a beautiful clean park area,... More

I went for a boat tour ride of this beautiful lake and I loved it. The guide explained the story behind this lake in English. The scenery is beautiful with bridges, lotus plants and so on. Go and visit this attraction if you go to Yangzhou.
