We had an AMAZING experience with this tour in Yinchuan! It was kind of hard for us to get around Yinchuan ourselves because almost no one spoke English so we decided to go to this guy who spoke English and it was more than what...More

I honestly expected a bit more, must say that the museum is very informative, specially for the younger ones

The ice river, Rock art and art gallery was a great time out from a busy business trip. I’ve been interested in Bradshaw paintings in Australia so was keen to see this rather than the movie studio! The art gallery was inspiring with so many...More

As a result of flooding in 2016, there are extensive repair works going on at the moment - only a 10-15 walk is possible as the walkway through the valley is closed.

This site was a 'side tour'. I understand having national pride but I suspect that after recent rain damage they tried to recreate the history in a very obvious fake manner. Some of the impressions looked like someone had made them yesterday.

Visited as part of all all day trip between Yinchuan and the Helan Mountains. There were more impressive places to see on the trip, however, the rock paintings were worth a visit.

The mountains and surroundings of this area are stunning and perfect for an outside adventure (but if that's what you want you're better off going to the National Park). The museum is very well designed, arranged and maintained; an interesting visit. The rock carvings themselves...More

Close to Yinchuan, the rock paintings open a window into the early civilisations. Close to Yinchuan, an unspoilt site, where you can clamber over rocks and streams. Equal to the best ancient rock paintings in other parts of the world, and well worth the visit.

The ancient rock paintings are pretty hard to see in the wild - considering they've been exposed to the elements for thousands of years it's not surprising - and only the ones in the museum are really clear. The area itself is quite scenic, and...More
