Just to mention that the place has been closed since October 2017. You can only take a picture of the 1st temple. We have been told that you cannot climb any more because of landslides.

Temple supposedly has a history of over 1900 years and is the second largest air-hanging temple in China. Only the buildings at the foot of the hills are opened to visitors when I was there and one can still take photos of the buildings on...More

As it is said this temple is reffered to the 3rd century, and, probably it is oldiest and most interesting place in Xining. But unfortunately it was closed for the reconstruction on 10th of August 2017. God knows for how long.

A taxi will cost you about 10 yuan. It is a Nice little hike up the Mountain with a view over Xining. Not too touristic, and for free. Seems like under construction, despite still worth the visit!
