pros: 1) Good architecture. 2) Good museum of the things on first floor. 3) Near to main market. 4) Easily accessible by riksha, cab. 5) Good designs on walls. cons: 1) poorly maintained. 2) bird dumplings everywhere. 3) beggers outside - does not give good impressions to foreign tourists.... So - "incredible india" does not get really portrayed. Note: Purchase... More

This place is very popular in Indore as this is said as the place where Devi Ahilyabai resides, but one thing could be said about this place is that there is much traffic here.

Close to the Sarafa bazaar, this was the erstwhile palace of the ruling dynasty. If you are a history buff, then you will enjoy this else you can give it a skip.

Rajwada is the fort of Indore hosting the Holkar dynasty. The fort importantly has the Holkar museum displaying interesting facts about the Holkars and how it was ruled. Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar and interesting facts on how Holkars led Indore and surrounding areas is depicted here. The place can be maintained better. It took around half an hour for us.... More

This is one of the busiest streets of Indore. Great place for shopping on the streets. Premises are non-hygienic.

There's a mueseum open for public during the day time. In the evening there is a sound and light show depicting the history of Rajbada and the Holkars. It was worth a watch, sitting in open air inside the Rajbada. The show happens in Hindi and English everyday.
