Fascinating look into early Christian burial tombs. Never knew Greece had catacombs. These are dated to around 100 - 200 AD. Was a highlight of our trip to Milos. Only takes about 15 minutes to see.

Knowledgeable tour guide provided interesting facts about the history of the catacombs. Worth the climb.

Visitors have to be accompanied by a guard to enter the catacombs. Unfortunately there is no one on site to provide information. The guard speaks little English but does try to offer some information. I wished there had been somebody very knowledgeable about the Catacombs...More

Well worth a visit. Closed on Mondays and it can get busy. We needed to wait for about 30 mins for our tour as numbers on each catacombs tour are limited

It was a short tour but it was very interesting and the "guide" made it an enjoyable and funny experience. If you have got the chance, definitely go for it!

We visited during a rainy, overcast day which we were thankful for. During the walk from the parking area down to the Catacombs I noticed there wasn't a lot of shade for sunny, hot days. The cost for a family of three was 12 euros...More

When we started our short tour then young girl accompanying us started with "I am a guard not a guide" which was puzzling but then my (Greek) husband explained this is likely because the "Guide" term is likely to be protected for those "qualified" (i.e....More

This is quite an interesting place, especially if you've never seen catacombs (like me) & won't be somewhere else where you can see them for awhile (eg Italy, France, etc). The guided tour (which is all that is offered) took about 40 minutes & included...More

The catacombs were very interesting to visit. A good number of stairs to go down to get there. A little difficult to find. We parked in the town and walked down to the catacombs....not a difficult walk but all uphill on the return. It is...More

No, not to my knowledge. We had the full tour and didn't see or hear about any.
