Spent 1 1/2 days exploring Litchfield. Enjoyed the small pools along the Bluey's Pools to Florence Fall track. An easy walk along a concrete path. No 6 camp site at Walkers Ck was also really nice. The walks were really quite easy just take enough...More

Our family which included little ones with floaties went to Bluey waterhole and had a great time. It was a Friday so it wasn't too crowded, there are enough holes at the falls to cater for all ages. It's an easy walk to the falls...More

Too many people, everyone drinking booze in the water and jumping from dangerous heights at Florence falls... Not worth the drive.

Had a great time here in the park. Beautiful spots and what's most amazing is that the park is totally free with great amenities. Even the $6.60 campgrounds are very well organised and maintained. Coming from western Australia where we paid about $12 for most...More

Park is massive so with a car you can see a ton of things and spend time at each one to your own speed. Did a day trip from Darwin but could spend more time if we wanted. However the heat was quite exhausting. We...More

I love National parks and all they have to offer. All the watering holes in Litchfield were a pleasure to visit with my favourite being Wangi Falls for swimming and Florence falls for its thunderous waterfall. Buley Rockpool is great for everyone in the family...More

Litchfield is an easy place to visit. Carparks are close to the waterfalls and waterholes, the roads are mostly paved for 2WD, and the swimming is safe. The waterfalls are beautiful and a great place to spend the day. We sat by Wangi Falls all...More

Litchfield National Park is an interesting place to visit and not too far from Darwin. Plenty of waterfalls and swimming holes and the magnetic termite mounds. Take a picnic as the selection of food available at the various outlets is not great!

Was suprised to hear that most activities and sights could be accessed by a 2wd vehicle so decided to visit in the camper van and was so happy we did. Went as far as Wangi Falls, but also visited Florence Falls and took a photo...More

So much to see and do in Litchfield NP. Our favourite was the less travelled Walkers Creek. A 1.5km one way walk stopping in at many beautiful plunge pools and mini waterfalls. Also excellent were the 'big' attractions - Wangi & Florence Falls along with...More

We just went there a month ago with a tiny 2WD. Almost all roads are sealed. A 4WD would be advisable if you want to get into the Park from the north along Cox Peninsula Rd; but if as 99% of visitors you come through... More

For Litchfield it is an easy daily trip if you rent a car. For Jabiru and Katherine you may need three days, with one overnight in one of the two lodges in Jabiru or Yellow Water an one in Darwin. The distances are not... More
