Really enjoyed floating in the warm water as the current pulled you along. Floated down with my thongs which I used when returning to the start again. Great natural peaceful surroundings and well worth the drive from Katherine.

What a tranquil and laid back feel this quant little caravan park has. Short walk to the wonderful Bitter Springs hot pool where you leisurely float down the warm stream. Goggles or dive mask introduce you to the beautiful underwater gardens. A very relaxing 2...More

What a picturesque location, but I found the water a bit too warm and not really refreshing. Lots of people enjoying a swim so not a bad place to visit.

These Springs are visibly picturesque but that's where it ends. The water in the springs is fairly cool, and there is a lot of green slime on the edges of the stream. You can float down the stream with a noodle. As I said it...More

After a long hot drive it was so nice to be at the Springs again. So relaxing and especially if you have a noodle. Revitalises you for the rest of the day driving. Never changes in all the years we have visited. Toilets are nice...More

One of our favourite travel stops. The water is thermally warmed and you can float with the current to two hop out sets of steps. Turtles and small fish can be spotted if not too many people are in the water. A pool noodle is...More

Super warm, crystal clear water. Very serene (when not busy) Bring a pool noodle and let the beautiful warm water drift you down stream (probably about 20/30m) There is entry and exit ladders as well as one about half way. Super warm and super relaxing....More

If you are traveling through and don't have a noodle, (floating device) drop into the petrol station to purchase one before heading into the springs. If you are camping then the caravan park at the end on the road is walking distance to the springs...More

Hop in the water and you can just relax in the one spot ,or just float down river and just relax! Easy steps to climb out and short 5min walk back to the start...how lucky are we to have such an unspoiled place.

This is a lovely oasis - jump in, float down the lagoon. Enjoy the wild life. Get out at the end (150M??) walk back up and float down again. There are a few submerged tree stumps in the lagoon so watch out for them.

Yes, I think two days would be enough as there is not much to do. Depends on yourself if you just like to relax

Please can anyone advise if the car park has enough room to drive in with our caravan ? Or is it cars only ? We intend to stop for a rest here while passing through . Thanks , Laura

For memory the car park was quite small but the Mataranka thermal pool had a much bigger car park which would fit caravans there is plenty of room there. That is any abou 7klms down the road.

Not that I'm aware, the water exit, where the warm water comes out of the ground is too small
