We got some ghost detection equipment which was a nice surprise and I quite enjoyed the whole theatrics of the whole investigation. I didn’t witness and paranormal activity but some of the girls in our group got quite a few good hits on the emf...More

A most interesting tour of this large old facility. At times it was sad, but on the other hand the people were being looked after - for many of the patients it was their home. Lyn, our tour guide explained the different areas, the farming,...More

Did the four-hour ghost tour at Aradale and it was well worth it The guide was not only knowledgeable and could keep talking for the four hours but was also in character (young Vincent Price) and made the whole experience enjoyable Would happily recommend it...More

We planned an overnighter. Timely start. Our guide was in character! Eerie to say the least. It’s a sprawling property. From a distance it looks majestic. The moon was out. And we saw Aradale in its full glory. It was worth the trip. I’m glad...More

Our guides Steve & John were excellent they gave us an insight of what it would have been like to be placed in the asylum. The History, although very sad was extremely interesting. Well worth the $18.00 concession per person.

We came to Ararat specifically to do the ghost tour. It was very interesting and our guide was very informative. I think she had the right amount of facts but also theatrics. She didn’t go over the top trying to be funny, but just enough...More

We did the 4 hour tour. Our tour guide was Daniel, and my partner and I found it all a bit theatrical and felt like there was far too much humour with the way he conducted the tour. I think if we had a different...More

I enjoyed it however the guide was too actorish and some of the information given was made up to make it sound scary or horrible but left me doubting everything he told me! I wish I had done the 6 hour one but nonetheless still...More

I went on the 2 hour tour. There is a lot of stairs and walking. Short beaks so the guide can do their talking. It is also quite dark, only lantern light. I would say it may not be suitable. So I think it would be up to you... More

Hi, I thought it would be easier to direct you to a review via the weekend notes website which will provide some hints and tips. Just google "weekend notes aradale asylum" and it will appear. Thanks, Paul
