To most of the travellers around the world they have the same opinion that Wave Rock is too far away from the Perth City? To the view of my points, I personally have driven the car from Carine to the destination is 4hrs drive through...More

We were driving from Esperance to Perth so stopped in for a look. Well worth it. Great place to get out and explore for a few hours. Definitely would have to think twice though if you were going to drive all the way from Perth...More

Almost 700km drive (return) from Perth, but it's absolutely worth it. It's much more amazing than words can describe. The scene will grab you the moment you look at it. One of the best natural sightseeing in WA. I enjoyed it and took dozens of...More

It's a long way from anywhere so be prepared. The rock itself may not be as big as many expect, but the formation is amazing. It's also worth the walk across the top, with some amazing views. Stay a few days and check out some...More

Wave Rock is a considerable distance from the surrounding regional centres and it requires some effort to get to the location. Once there, the dramatic rock formation is very accessible.

We visited Wave Rock with friends from Perth it was a great day out, Mother Nature did some great work here in so glad we did the trip. The entry fee was $10 for a car which is worth it in my book, the weather...More

This is a very unusual rock formation that I have always wanted to see whenever I have thought of going to Western Australia. The formation itself didn't disappoint but unless you are prepared for a 650 km round trip from Perth it is something you...More

The initial arrival at the rock itself is a little disappointing. The paths aren't clearly identified and are confusing. And it's smaller in scale than expected. But worse, in the 1920s they've added this hideous concrete wall to the top to funnel rain water to...More

I was impressed with Wave Rock. I wasn't as big as I was expecting but still very striking and interesting. The best part is that you can walk on the top which has some great views and amazing opportunities for sunset pictures. There are some...More

Visited wave rock on our way from Perth to Albany. We were pleasantly surprised at how striking wave rock is, particularly as it changes colour in the late afternoon light. Also, take some time to explore the area around the rock.

Is it a national park please?

I think it is. We certainly had to pay a fee (from a machine in the car park) but I think it was only $10 or $12. Definitely worth it. Lots or flies, so if you're going in a warmer season (I was there in May), be prepared!

No opening hours always open. Early sunlight on the Rock is lovely.
