Situated in rowan county is a jewel for families and kids of all ages. Ample parking, revitalized playgrounds and shelters for family gatherings. There's a beautiful lake and a nature observatory petting zoo and gem mine. There's even a little store for some ice cream or a fishing permit. And down by the bridge some of the biggest fish you'll... More

Beautiful outdoor setting. Covered areas are offered to reserve to use for family reunions, school reunions, and other celebrations. They have paddle boats, beautiful nature trails for hiking and all kinds of wildlife to observe and learn about their habitat. Playgrounds are abundant for children, mini golf, an area for camping, volleyball and badminton.

A small carousel, train and paddle boats add to the reasons for visiting here. With the exception of July fourth there is generally plenty of space to spread out and have elbow room. They have camp sites and picnic shelters available to rent for parties. Well manicured, clean and reasonably priced. They also have softball fields and volleyball courts. Relatively... More

A wonderful park with many activities for the whole family. Take a picnic, ride on the lake, ride the train or carousel, mine for gems or just take a walk around the lake on the trail. All Fun!

We have been taking our kids here for ten years. Love the train and the gem mine. Zoo is very good for a place this size.

We got into town early for our trip to ride Thomas the Tank Engine and decided to check this spot out. Traffic was awful getting in as we were there on their Jamboree weekend but once we got in we had a great time. Our grandkids, four and eight, thoroughly enjoyed everything. Prices were great. Trains rides were only $1... More

This park had it all! And I don't think I spent more the $7 for three people. My three year old loved the wildlife exhibit, petting barn, and the train ride where he got to see "wild animals". I will be back on the next visit.

We needed to kill a little time before heading out to dinner while visiting our son at college. Stopped here to play a round of mini golf ($4 per person). There are playgrounds, paddle boats, a carousel, a train, hiking trails around a lake, fishing, campgrounds. There is NO charge to enter but some of the activities have charges. Check... More

They have it all here. Small lake for fishing. Canoes for rent. Camping area. Believe it or not a small zoo. Gem planning. Great place for a walk

This is an excellent way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Prices are cheap and the playground is HUGE! Could have had a few more animals to look at but it was enough for the really little kids.

Thank Marie A
