The oldest the best and no longer the most expensive pottery in Seagrove.

I've been visiting Jugtown on and off for 4 decades. It's the only one left from the 4 that were there 40 years ago, and I think that is due to the high quality and consistently reliable selection. The styles have changed and they have added non-pottery items, but the pots are still excellent. I like the new glazes and... More

This historically important pottery is also, for my money, one of the best in Seagrove. We met Pam Owens (she and her husband Vernon bought back the pottery after some years of its being out of family ownership) and her son Travis, who were both welcoming and helpful. We will treasure the bowl and vase we purchased from them.

Enjoyed the varied selection available in this pottery shop. Not only pottery pieces but lamps and wooden puzzles for kids, special soaps, lots of pumpkin themed pieces.

I've traveled to many parts of the world and have collected pottery from various places. The Owens family of Jugtown, hands down, produces some of the finest pieces I've ever seen . . . and at extremely reasonable prices to boot. The Jugtown Pottery is a "must see" destination on anyone's visit to Seagrove. It features a large Sales Cabin... More

I visited this shop while in Seagrove and enjoyed it. There is a plethora of different styles of pottery here. I especially liked the pieces with the various birds on them! I also purchased some carved wooden train toys for my nephew. It's a good place to stop and get gifts for others, as things are unique but reasonably priced... More

Interesting and lovely pottery, with beautiful glazes - both for practical uses and for display as lovely ceramic art. Jugtown Pottery also has an interesting history, which you can ask about if you're interested. Well worth visiting.

Three reasons to visit: If you love history, if you love pottery, if you want to meet real potters and a pottery family that goes back to the beginning of North Carolina clay turning. Log cabin sales area with a pottery museum off to the side. On this same property are the 8+ Kiln's and studio. They sell beautiful pottery... More

Good complex with showroom and separate museum. Family members are available to answer all questions. Several turns off NC 705, pottery highway, but easy to follow signs.

You can not come to Seagrove, NC without stopping at Jugtown Pottery, where it all began. We learned some of the NC pottery history, visited the small museum and toured the property! It was well worth the time
