We have played this course on numerous occasions over the years and have seen the conditions slipping. As noted in other reviews the tee boxes were in bad shape on most of the holes. Weeds growing in the fairways and tee boxes and waste bunkers. They were spraying the day we played and a notice that chemicals were being applied... More

The condition of Rivers Edge was dreadful to say the least. If you are a serious golfer this is not the place to visit. No sand in the traps, but there was mud! Tee boxes sparse on grass if any. Hard pan for rough. Even the fairways were in poor condition in many cases. Greens pretty slow and hairy. Not... More

I loved how creative this golf course was and how it worked with its natural surroundings. You're actually golfing along the river, marshes and taking in the beauty of it all. The course is in amazing shape and it is all lady-friendly. That was very much appreciated.

Hole after hole of wonderful views, challenging shots and great golf fun. This course is a "must play" if you are in the myrtle beach area.

The Golf course is challenging, when we played course was in great shape. Occasionally needs some repairs. Very relaxing atmosphere. A restroom on the course would be welcome. The Grill at Rivers Edge Golf Plantation is casual fare for golfers and those looking for a great tasting lunch. Place is very clean, staff is warm and friendly. Food is great,... More

Played here as one of six rounds in Nov - best greens of all the courses we played (includes pearl, glen dornoch, farmstead, cape fear). Staff were all friendly, helpful and courteous - again, prob the best of the trip! Everyone was happy unlike other courses where many seemed to be grumpy. It was windy when we played and 16-18... I was extremely excited to play River's Edge as I had read many good things about it and once saw it ranked in top 5-6 of all Myrtle golf courses. Well, I was a little disappointed as there was a lot of tee boxes that were terrible and in much need of repairs. There was also a lot of weird... More

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your round. We did have large amounts of rain and now prepping for a hurricane. These conditions lead to course prep such as mowing when wet, the tractor marks will not last more than a day. That is just part of dealing with weather. Bunkers are next to be renovated as we finished... More

My wife and I just played this course on Sunday, September 11th. We are retired seniors who play frequently. We both thoroughly enjoyed playing River's Edge. The course is in great condition with lot's of sand, water and scenic views. It is quite challenging but fair. Particularly difficult is the signature hole, the par 5 ninth hole. Good luck with... Rivers Edge continues to be one of my favorite courses in the greater Myrtle Beach area. My family and I have visited more than ten times during summer vacations. The layout is one of my all-time favorites with challenging, but fair holes. The number of holes along the Shallot River are gorgeous and interesting. The staff is friendly and my... More
