A P.B. Dye layout that will challenge your mind as well as your swing. Every hole on the back 9 will get your attention, and the last 3 holes on the front are particularly difficult. The last 3 holes on the back run along the intracoastal and are quite beautiful. 15 is a monster par 4 - if you hit... More

This is a Pete Dye creation and anyone who plays the game knows he or she will be in a battle. There are short, very tricky holes, and extremely long ones, wth typical lightening speed om the greens. There is one green so large that there is a sprinkler head in the middle of it! But its fun with a... More

This course runs along the southern boundaries of St. JAMES Plantation, with breathtaking marsh views and fast greens. VERY NICE!

A true links course with beautiful views across the marshland to the Intercoastal. Elevated greens will test your ability to land a ball and plenty of other challenges on the course.

Loved this course! Enjoyed the par 5's and the 4's were truly great! Great walking course and hard enough to be fun!

Great staff - the best in the area!! Great burgers, BLTs, wings, parmesan Chips are a real specialty - not found at other restaurants!! Drinks are cold and made professionally!! It is the staff and their attentiveness that put them over the top!!

I haven't played at Founders in a non-tournament mode in more than a year. The course is being very well maintained and the greens are very well taken care of. Sand traps were all raked and there weren't any footprints in them -- players here tend to know how to be courteous. Staff, both at the bag drop and in... More

The Founders Club is on the marshes and has the most beautiful setting in all of St. James and it is wasted by keeping it closed. Yes, one can get a simple, mediocre lunch, but Founders used to be a place where all the neighbors could meet in the evenings at THEIR neighborhood club and relax and get to know... More

Nice place, great outdoor balcony and view of the marsh area. Should be open to serve dinner as it once was.
