We were staying in Glen Alpine, NC, so it was about a 30 min drive to Linnville Falls. Which we thought was super doable. It was a great drive and we loved the various trails to the falls and one of the views of a portion of the Linnville Gorge. From the gravel lot that we parked in, we were... More

We were staying in Blowing Rock and decided to check out the waterfall. It was a nice little hike, less than a mile, some uphill and uneven ground, we had an elderly dog but she was able to handle the stairs and the dirt/rock path. Very pet friendly area. Several different viewing areas, depending on how strenuous you want your... More

Lots of really nice trails leading to many gorgeous falls, no problem for Grandma to hike on, views of various falls my Granddaughter's enjoyed.

A truly unique and beautiful place. There are three vantage points to see the falls from above and the old growth hemlocks are worth the trip alone. There is a visitor center with restrooms but it may not e open in early spring. We visited on a weekday and there were quite a few people there, several with dogs.

Nice walk on well maintained trail. Not a woodsy hike. Went on the main trail all the way to the end with all the lookouts and loved it. Nice view of waterfalls. Maybe 1.5 hrs.

Quiet, relaxing, always see something different no matter what time of year you go. If you love waterfalls, you will love this! The hike up to the top is moderately hard so someone out of shape might have a hard time.

We went hiking with the whole family including our young son. It wad really windy but the trails were wide and the upper falls were easy to get to for us.

Location, parking, entrance and visitors center are all easy to find, well maintained if not new and easy to navigate. There are several different paths to take to three different locations. Each provides a different view of at least two separate falls. One gets you very close to a scenic set of falls that runs right by you. The other... More

My family and I went to the Boone, NC area the week after Christmas and we went to see Linville Falls. There are two locations to park. One is paved (we did not park at that location). The other is a gravel parking lot. The gravel parking lot was very small and it took a few passes to get a... More
