A fort was located on the site in 1754. They now in the process of building a replica of it. It will be three stories high. The guide provided details of the construction and a history of the area.

Our visit to Fort Dobbs was very informative! Although the site is a work in progress, there's much to learn! Our History Interpreter, Joseph, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting! The museum is informative, too. Thanks to Joseph for a wonderful history lesson!
