All Saints’ Tudeley is the only church in the world* to have all its twelve windows decorated by the great Russian artist Marc Chagall. The east window at Tudeley is a memorial tribute to Sarah d'Avigdor-Goldsmid who died aged just 21 in a sailing accident off Rye. Sarah was the daughter of Sir Henry and Lady d'Avigdor-Goldsmid; the family then lived at the fine Jacobean house Somerhill which is situated nearby.

This is a beautiful church with all the windows in the main sanctuary done by Marc Chagall. I lost my way following the walking instructions (2.5 miles became 7.1 miles one way for me -- but that's me. I am not from the UK :)),...More

The story of the Chagall windows is very moving. They are beautiful and unique. Also lovely views of surrounding countryside from the grounds.

Just beautiful. We were recommended by friends to visit this church and it certainly deserves all the praise it receives. The windows are absolutely stunning and, of course, it has such a sad story connected to this church. It is tucked away in a very...More

If you like art at least an hour. I went twice in a week spending an hour each time. I saw something new the second time in each window. No doubt when I make a third visit I will see something fresh.
