The beautiful, free flowing Cape Fear adds lustre to Wilmington, making it one of the gems in N Carolina, a state already brimming with beauty and history. Wilmington is set to take its place as one of the places to visit in the USA, along with the Cape Fear River.

The boardwalk allows you to walk along the Cape Fear River, and there are a plethora of different eateries with seating which overlooks the CF river as well. The bridge connects between Wilmington and Leland and can be viewed from the boardwalk. You can also the see the battleship across the river which you can visit as well.

I could sit for hours at the rivers edge and watch the boats and ships cruise by. There is just something magic about this river. And the sunset are just stunning.

The Cape Fear River is a beautiful place to stroll along the Boardwalk, visit the quaint shops, take a day or evening river cruise, or just sit and relax in the tranquil surroundings. Be sure to get your picture taken with the USS North Carolina in the background. The ship is permanently anchored on the river and tours are available.

Fun to paddle in the river. The shore birds are plentiful. Yes one can see an aligator too. The fishing is great
