We really enjoy walking around downtown and some of the shops are nice but don’t go expecting tons and tons of different places. 50% of the shops are coffee/juice bars. Seriously how many places do you need? The boutiques are nice but you will find...More

The entire historic district is fun to walk. You start from the Cotton Exchange to the Pilot House Restaurant. The Cotton Exchange building was used to sell cotton. It's rustic and authentic. There are many shops to browse on different levels. There is a jewelry...More

Plenty of Historic Buildings in the area with stories to tell. Educational to know, and the walk to these sites is pleasant. A good way to know the town you're visiting.

Our book club visited three weeks after Hurricane Florence. Despite the piles of debris, we enjoyed walking around the historic district. Taking two walking tours made what we saw more meaningful.

The trolley driver knew Wilmington's historic district very well. He gave a steady commentary with some humorous remarks. I especially liked the rooster on the Presbyterian church.

We did not book carriage ride or meals in advance, but don't about the summer months. Park at the parking garage. Think there is only one public parking garage in the historic district.
