Great hands on historical battleship where kids and adults are able to sit in the seat of a gunner, climb on top of the anchor, walk through the corridors of the ship and see the different departments that make up the USS North Carolina. Depending on how quick you read and take in everything, your self-guided tour takes about 2-3... More

If you visit Wilmington, you've gotta visit the battle ship, esp if you've never been on one before. A lot of the ship is on display and they have done a great job with signage to tell the story. Watch your head on those stairs!!!

On our way home to PA from SC we stopped in Wilmington to check out the USS Carolina. We were so glad we did! Very long self-guided tour, with tons to see! It was an incredible experience and would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in Naval history!

Went years ago with my mom, sister, step-dad and stepbrothers. It's a good place to see in Wilmington if you have kids, or dig ships and/or military history.

A good day trip and you can catch a water taxi from the Riverwalk to the Battleship. Tour is sefguided so you can take your time and enjoy. We climbed all over the place. Lots of fun.

This is our 4th Battleship we have visited including the one in HawIi. This has to be on top of the list you can actually go inside the gun chambers and see how it all worked. A truly unforgettable visit and tribute to our past heros.

If you have a interest in naval history the ship is a must is. I have been through the ship twice over a 10 year period. They change the tour route every so often due to maintenance or asbestos removal. To tour the whole ships takes about 3 hours and there is a shorter route, also on the full tour... More

Wonderful time. The ship is a self tour. It was really interesting. Nothing is roped off as it is in most tours. You can lay on the cots, see the guns, sit in the stations and move the guns around. You can really experience what it feels like for the crew. Also, looking overboard, we saw 2 alligators in the... More

If you are in the Wilmington area this ship is a must to visit. The self guided tour is well laid out but beware...there is s lot of going up and down ladders to the different decks of the ship. You will definitely see what it was like to live on the ship and I can only imagine what it... More
