Especially beautiful at Xmas time with an abundance of lights on beautiful southern oaks as well as others. Usually have other displays as well.

Airlie Gardens is a great place to visit in Wilmington--year round. There is always something new growing and the staff and volunteers make it inviting. The summer concert series is a great place for a first date--bring a picnic basket or buy food from one of the local vendors. The Christmas "Enchanted Airlie" is a magical site. Just bundle as... Spring time at the gardens is Magical. The azaleas will take your breath away. However do not limit yourself to this time of year only. There has not been a s single visit I have made there, regardless of the season, that has been disappointing. There is so much to see and it varies from season to season. The local... More

Fall and winter are even beautiful here. Surprises are all around as you explore this lovely place! Expensive at the holidays for the lights..., but may be worth it.

We were there early spring. Not much was in bloom, but it was still a beautiful and relaxing day. I'd bring a picnic lunch, and enjoy several hours there. I'd be curious when the best time for the most flowers would be and try to go back then. The old oak tree is worth a visit!

We always bring our summer company here, and they are always blown away by the pictures they go home with. It's a substantial hike to walk the place, but it's worth it. My 7 year old hates going here, as it is obligatory for us when company comes, but they have added a frog statue hunt which makes it bearable,... More

A wonderful place to visit with great walkways! A must see is the bottle chapel. I saw many butterflies on the bushes and beautiful flowers in bloom. The place is well taken care of and offers special events.

Very nice, picturesque and serene gardens. Some really pretty places with unique architectural features and lovely natural landscapes. Really anxious to visit during the Christmas presentation and in the spring when the Azaleas are in bloom. Definitely worth the visit and will visit again.
