Well worth a stop

Beautiful gardens, trees and an overall relaxing environment. I would recommend this for anyone who needs to chill for awhile.

This is one of the best dates I have ever been on. It is all at your own pace, can take as long or as quickly as you want it to, and is quiet and simply beautiful. My husband and I walked the grounds for over two hours and found something beautiful at every turn. The Ribbit Exhibit was cute... More

We did a self guided tour when visiting Wilmington in mid May. Lovely grounds. Would recommend if you want something to do out of the ordinary while in Wilmington. 2 nice waterfront restaurants close by to grab a meal or drink and watch the boat s along the intercoastal.

Went to Airlie Gardens on a weekday afternoon. It was after the Spring flowers and before the summer ones so not much in bloom. Enjoyed our stroll around the property, great views of the salt marsh and creek. Good place to visit if you are in the Wilmington area.

Large gardens, easy walking trail, wheelchair accessible for most of it. Cheap price $10 for such a great place. It is easy to miss the entrance so drive slow when you get near it. It will change during the seasons. Very well maintained.

First of all, the site of the gardens is on a peninsula with lots of water in view from a variety of locations. There is a great collection of mature plants native to the area. Of course, The Airlee oak by itself would be worth the price of admission as it is spectacular. The Angel Oak in Charleston may be older,... More

My boyfriend and I went with another couple to see the Christmas lights! The place is magical and is highly recommended. Will be going back this year! Better get your tickets when they go on sale cause they sell out fast.

We spent a few days at the beach and visited the Airlie Gardens as we left Wrightsville Beach. The gardens are lovely, especially in May. Although we missed the azalea display, we thoroughly enjoyed the jasmine arbor (about 25 yards long of blooming jasmine surrounding you as you walk toward the lake). The 67 acres of plants and flowers are... More

I was thoroughly impressed by Airlie Gardens. The high class quality of maintenance paired with the size and diversity of plants & flowers was astonishing. Highly recommended.
