Ride or run by horse pastures and creeks...
May 2019 • Couples
Relatively flat paved trail meanders along a creek and horse pasture with a few off shoot trails for variety. It’s a nice spot for a bike ride, run, or leisurely stroll. Added plus- bring your dog for a walk and stop off at the fenced in dog park.

Great Walking Path
Apr 2019
It is a long trail, but so nice for getting out in the wonderful weather. My son always loves playing at the Meadowlark Elementary playground, and my dog loves the new dog park there.

Lovely Greenway
Jul 2018 • Solo
I was shocked to see the review entitled "Dangerous" . My experience is that Muddy Creek Greenway is one of the safer greenways I've bicycled on. Most people I've encountered are very friendly, polite and considerate of other greenway users. There are areas that are more secluded than others, but it is such a popular trail that there are people around to help and in most areas, a simple shout would bring assistance. I love this greenway, especially now with all the spurs and the dog park and playground. I carry and use nitro as well as an epipen and I am completely comfortable on this greenway. I saw a great blue heron on one of the spurs a few days ago. The horse farm is lovely as is the creek running along side the greenway. There are benches strategically placed at convenient spots. I wish there were more greenways like this.

People are so mean now I would be afraid to walk this path in the daytime. Too deserted. Good idea, but go to Rowell, GA to see a real park system.

Excellent place for gentle bike rides
Dec 2017 • Friends
Accommodates quite a few bicycles at any given time. Gentle hills but primarily flat and paved. Good in fair weather.

Go to trail for walking or biking
Sep 2017 • Family
We love this trail, it is long enough for a good workout and short enough that our daughter will ride with us without complaint. There is so much to see, and fun spots along the water to sit and relax. We love it when the horses are out and going under the highway is a favorite of my daughters. We have even seen bird watchers out there, so it must be a good spot for that as well.

Explore nature

Great trail for walking, running, cycling and any other non-motorized form of transportation. The trees provide shade most of the day. The new park has water fountains. There are benches along the greenway to sit and relax.

Flat, Safe, Clean, Maintained and Utilized
Aug 2017 • Family
This is a fantastic 3-ish mile greenway for running, walking, birding, roller-blading, biking, etc. For kids earning their "two-wheeler" license and runners wanting a few, flat miles for speed-work, it's excellent. Mostly shaded until about 10AM in the warmer months and stays sunny through the hot part of the day. Trees provide the shade, but also block the view of Muddy Creek for some of the way. However, you'll come upon paths that lead you to the creek if you choose, plus a bridges that cross over the creek and connect to neighborhoods. There are benches (and trees dedicated to loved ones) all along and at least three dog poop bag and deposit spots.

The greenway is located in a residential area with schools near both ends. Jamison Park and a connector bridge are recent additions. (If only Jamison Park would address the water fountain issues!)

The turn-around spots on either end are disappointing and the only reason for 4/5 rating. On one end, it just stops at Country Club Road bridge, which cries to be extended in the future. The other end is marked private for Summerfield residents only. Unfortunate.

All in all, it's a great, well-utilized, safe greenway.
