Visited monkey beach on 31 Aug 2020 and 27 March 2021. Both trips were amazing! Probably due to MCO, the beach is so clean and beautiful, no crowd at all. There are so many shell species and sea creatures on the beach during low tide around 6pm. we saw octopus, jelly fish, hermit crab, mud crab etc. We even caught kappa back for dinner! also hiked up to the Light House too. It was simply relaxing and amazing!

This beach is recommended to visit in Penang. You can enjoy the seaside view and enjoy the activities or facilities there. You have to take care of your own belongings. It is a place that worth to go with friends and family!

Monkey beach definitely is the famous beach you want to visit in Penang National Park.
You need to walk around 1 hour from the main gate.
Once arrive, you need to take care of your stuff since there is a lot of monkeys.
But the way, you have a chance to do some activities there.
For example, water game is provided. Besides, there are areas for camping, you simply have to bring your own tent.
Monkey beach is a place that I will return to soon as it is beautiful.
Recommender to spend at least one night there with the dreamy sunsets and the liberating murmur of the jungle.

Monkey beach definitely is the beach you want to visit in penang, and honeslty ill recommend monkey beach more than batu feringghi beach because for me personal batu feringghi is too touristic.

Probably the worst beach I have ever seen. The original beauty of the beach was destroyed by small cafes and bars.

Trail to Monkey Beach currently closed se we took a short boat ride. Had a nice BBQ lunch at one of the little food places. The male Monkeys are aggressive when food is around so be aware. Nice beach for swimming but not much else to do. The lake is dried up due to the drought

Quite sad, right near the turtle sanctuary and the whole beach is littered with various plastic junk from tiny straws to bucket lids and rope strands. Poorly run national park.

We wlked the trail to monkey beach, 50% of the trail is steep and 50% of the trial is almost flat. It is nice walking through the jungle with the songs of birds. Before reaching the beach we saw a number of monkeys, the long tailed Macaques. The alpha showed too much interest in our backpack, it was not easy to let him change his mind. The beach is beautiful, very clear water, good for swimming. The boat picked us up and sailed us back to the start point, it was over noon and the sun burned strongly, time for lunch at Batu Ferringy.

The water here looks clearer than the Ferringhi beach and the boat journey here was great too.

There's nothing much to do except, relax, swim and just take in the scenic view.

Beware the monkeys though if you have food with you. I recommend bringing water and not eat there (whether you eat before or after or a quick snack that's up to you). The monkeys will come after you

It was great. We hired a boat for RM200. It brought us to two islands. Thye showed us three rocks one was crocodile rock, turtle rock and rabbit rock. Monkey beach is a place to relax, swim as well as to have snacks and also fresh coconut beside the sea.
