I am quite impressed with the facilities and service of Entopia butterfly farm. The outdoor is full of diffent beautiful butterflies and plants, while indoor have different sections of reptiles, insects and etc. During our visit to outdoor butterfly farm, there were heavy downpour and the staff is kind to bring us to indoor to continue the visit. After the rain stopped, we are allowed to go back to the outdoor butterfly farm again.

The park has reach international standard but only problem is very hard to get ehailing service at this area. Make sure that you are booking a car or self drive when you come here, else you might have difficulties to back to town.

With our skeptical hats on, we had low expectations of Entopia, but were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The best option is to arrive early and then follow the well-marked paths around the various areas. There is a beautiful feel to the whole place, with some enchanting enclosures, and a number of well-designed areas for people to explore and admire the local and not-so-local wildlife, with countless snippets of information and interactive activities that will keep you and various family members intrigued and enthralled the whole time. It was also great to be able to interact with scorpions, butterflies, stick insects, and geckos, amongst other fascinating creatures.

Whilst, I do appreciate that in an ideal world, all animals would be able to roam free and not be restricted by enclosed spaces, to be able to share these wonderful creatures, and see the delights of mother nature up close and personal is fabulous. By highlighting the plight of some of them, this will hopefully inspire people to realise that there are some amazing creatures on this planet that are worth fighting for! Some of the work that Entopia is doing to share their journey and also their animals with numerous parts of the globe is incredible too.

Having been in Penang for nearly 7 months now, this is definitely one of the highlights for us. Some might be put off by the price, but we can hope that the money is going to a great cause, so it is definitely worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Entopia Butterfly Garden and it was truly a magical experience! This delightful garden is a must-see if you find yourself in the area around Batu Ferringhi or George Town.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the size of the venue, which was much larger than I had anticipated. Entopia is home to not only a vast array of stunning butterflies, but also a fascinating collection of insects and reptiles. The vibrant butterflies, along with the lush plants and flowers, created an enchanting mosaic of colors that was truly mesmerizing.

In addition to the beautiful outdoor garden, Entopia offers an indoor exhibition space. Here, visitors can learn about the life cycles of butterflies, as well as explore educational information about these captivating creatures. This added an extra layer of depth to the experience.

A quick word of advice for fellow travelers: while it was easy to get a taxi to Entopia, I found that arranging a return trip later in the day, around 5pm, proved to be more challenging. To avoid any potential inconvenience, I would recommend either visiting earlier in the day or pre-arranging your pick-up.

In summary, Entopia Butterfly Garden is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area. It's well worth spending a morning or afternoon here

Expensive ticket, RM40 plus for Malaysian. Don't go on a rainy day, no butterflies, no guide. Need a car or take a cab to get there, far from Georgetown.

Going to Penang and not going to Entopia to listen to voices of the nature is a big sin ....the moment you enter you are transformed into a world that existed and that made you wonder of HIS creations ...simply mesmerising .
Go live your moments sublime ones with nature .

This is a little out of the way on Penang Island, but easily reached by bus (end of the line on the bus route). The main enclosures are quite impressive and pretty. Plenty of butterflies and you can get up close to plenty (although I had maybe expected more variety/species). Some other animals to enjoy in the enclosure too like spiders and also lizards. The educational part was ok but aimed for children so not so much for me. Seeing the cocoons up close in there was quite impressive though. But I did note that some of the bugs they had in there were on artificial plastic ‘plants’ in there which I thought was very disappointing. The day I went there was no catering on the site and the chicken restaurant there looked like it had been closed some time, the coffee shop at the end also looked like it hadn’t been open for a while, there is not much else around there (at least 15 mins walk to a shop) in terms of getting drinks or food so make sure you take what you need.

The wife loves butterflies and this place offers more than that. They have plenty to see. If you are over the other side of the island it will take about an hour and a half to wander through.
They have fish, reptiles, bugs and plenty of butterflies. It is easy to get a grab there and back. Beware of the fellas trying to give you a cab ride. He wanted to charge double.
We didn't eat there.

I did not have high hopes for this place but it was AWESOME ! The gardens are glorious - we went in the morning and the light was beautiful. But the indoor exhibits were so much better than expected. The food options could be better - some local food pls - but beyond that a great place.

We caught the 101 bus from Double Tree Resort Batu Ferringhi to Teluk Bahang. Bus was 2RM and admission to Park 69RM. It was a lovely cool spot and the forest felt like it had been there for ever. The displays were amazing and the butterflies were beautiful. There was also plenty of reptiles, insects and bugs to see.
