This is a fun stop when passing through Jamestown. The village is really cool and its great to see the buffalo. Nothing flashy, but makes for a good visit.

We were there after it was closed for the season apparently as the only thing open was the museum. With that said, it was still really interesting to see the old storefronts and other buildings. The buffalo is worth the stop by itself.

We were here the last week of the season. So the activity was kind of low. But we had the opportunity to see the exhibits and not fight through crowds. Worth the stop.

A typical collection of antique implements, etc of days gone by. The Massive buffalo sculpture at the end of the pioneer street is definitely the highlight. Did not see any live buffalo.

If you have kids and need a drive break this would be a nice choice. It's free, you get to walk up to the giant buffalo statue, there is a buffalo herd overlook but they are not always visible from the overlook. The access to...More
