This is a place that is worth seeing, you can interact with the Donkeys, they are so people friendly. There are momentos and various products to buy in their gift shop as well. You can get something warm to drink while you walk around and take in the animals. When I was there the first time they had goats as... More

Have a few times over the past couple of summers, while visit the Shuswap area. Extremely well kept farm, professional set up and well cared for animals. All with different stories. Thank goodness for a place like this to rescue them!

Lovely place in the valley with over a hundred donkeys in residence. The barn and enclosures are beautifully kept up. Donkeys are friendly and seem to enjoy being petted.

We live in Sorrento so we are able to visit often . The atmosphere there is wonderful and you know how much Shirley and Rob care for the donkeys . We discovered a great gift for our grandchildren is a sponsorship of a donkey or two., This comes in a package including a large picture of their own donkey. Our... More

It was fun and heart warming to see the rescued donkeys. It was their fundraiser so there was much to do.

We had one of those days with a few hours to kill while staying in Sorrento. With 2 children and the other reviews we figured this would be a nice excursion. Fortunately we phoned ahead for operating hours (11-3) and made it there by 2pm. We paid at the shop and were given some history of the refuge and info... More

Their new location is fabulous. It is easy to find from the Squilax turnoff, the donkeys are all in one barn now, and the grounds are level and flat, making it easily accessible to most visitors. They have a wonderful gift shop, washrooms and a nice picnic area. You can wander around and pet all the donkeys. There is always... More

Please go here especially if you have kids. Great learning experience. The donkeys are so loveable. There are many opportunities to do note over and above the entrance fee if you are inclined. There is no pressure.
