Long walk in, go during the week if you can.

It was a lovely day in December when we hiked to the narrows. A nice walk through the woods on a well defined path with very little incline. It took about an hour each way. We loved the views upon arrival. It had snowed recently and the mountains were beautiful. We planned our hike according to the tide tables hoping... More

It was a wet windy weekend but the walk through the enchanted west coast forest was worth it. And the arriving a the rapids made it even better. For "old folks" like us an hour in and an hour out. Plan accordingly.

Definitely worth the stop off the beaten path. If you are traveling the sunshine coast, the 6km detour off the highway and 45 minute (4km) hike to the narrows is amazing. An easy hike, with little to no, elevation gain. Suitable for children and seniors alike. Check the tide charts and plan your visit.

Nice easy walk thru the rainforest for 40-50 min one way. Best time to go is to see the ebb tide, but it's a great place to watch sea lions play in the narrows.

Easy walk, fun, and worth the trip! Lots of parking. Pretty straight and flat until the last 10 mins or so. We saw seals playing in the currents. Well worth the trip.

I have always wanted to see the rapids and didn't think I'd be able to because of a knee injury earlier in the summer. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the rapids and the trail was dead easy for most of the way. The last 10 minutes was a little rocky but easily manageable. The rapids were amazing.... More

One of the spectacular sights on the Sunshine Coast of B.C are the Skookumchuck Narrows. The best viewing times are usually available. Ot is an easy walk of about 40 minutes from the entrance of the walk at Egmont to the best locations for viewing. the rapids. This experience is a must for all visitors.

A nice forested walk to the Skookumchuck narrows to watch the rapids. It was a nice sunny day and we were lucky enough to be there during high tide and watch the Kayaker's "surf" the rapids.

Lovely walk through the forest to view the Rapids. Canoeists captivated us with their antics as did the Californian Juvenile sea lions who played in the surf. Great spectacle.
