We were very impressed with ALL of Port McNeill, and especially their clean, well laid out waterfront and harbour area. There's a great coffee shop close by (Mugz Coffee and Tea House) and we wandered about with our fantastic cappuccino's. As well-traveled tourists, we just...More

We were heading to Alert Bay. It is a great working harbour on the coast. Lots of boats to llok at & easy walking. Stopped into the tourist info office, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Was a nice area to while away the hour.

We stay here just about every year on a month long boating trip. The price is right, they are friendly and helpful and the grocery, liquor and other stores are close by.

There is a walk that goes down along beach drive that is quite nice. Its not a long walk but it brings you down the ocean a bit. There is not much for a beach but over all it is a nice location and a...More

The shorebirds were quite close to land when the tide was in. This is where we joined our whalewatching trip but it's just nice to sit and watch the boats come and go!

a bit boring, but a nice coast, walking place. Great Little library nearby. Mixed Restaurants, very crowded in there.

Nice harbour - not the greatest beach (just a few big rocks really) - but fun to hang out for a few hours. Good cafe to sit outside

Lots to see at the quaint marina. Some great little shops a short stroll away. We found several clothing stores, a great IGA grocer and hardware stores full of fishing and outdoor gear. The ferry for Malcolm Island comes right into this Marina

Beautiful harbor with great views. There is not much to do though. We were blessed with a glorious sunny day so we took a long walk and saw many vessels go buy. It was very relaxing.

Harbor's got boats and gulls, whoopie, but what makes it special is believably the world's biggest burl, a treehugger's delight. Not easy to find it: follow Wharf St. a couple blocks beyond visitor center, stay right across small bridge to baseball field parking lot, where...More

Port McNeill Harbour dominates the landscape and buzzes with activity, working fishing boats, charters, pleasure craft, whale watching and tourist boats, visitors and residents. Then there are the ferries coming and going from McNeill to Alert Bay and Sointulla. This is a thriving community and...More
