Small hatchery, but even in mid March lots of interesting parts to our visit. Received a guided tour by team member who was extremely knowledgeable and obviously committed to this environment. We had a delightful time and also an enjoyable, but fairly brief walk on a trail bordering the creek. This hatchery depends on many volunteers and donations for continued... More

I happened on this hatchery, on an October afternoon, and was so glad that I stopped. This is a well-done hatchery, run by a small team and volunteers. It is located in a lovely forest with great trails that follow the river out to the ocean. I was a little early for big salmon activity, but did see some. I... More

This is a very small hatchery - but still interesting for the young ones. Trout and smelt can be seen in the above-ground tubs and annual events allow for "catch a trout" which my children absolutely loved when they were pre-schoolers. The walk along Chapman Creek is nice - but short. Fishing this creek for Coho in the fall used... More

We walked to Chapman Falls and found it to be a very enjoyable hike. The trail passes several vehicles that are rotting in the forest, under the power lines and finally to the falls. The water from Chapman Creek is used as a water supply source so once up to the pumping station just follow the water pipes. The falls... More

Very interesting. Lots of good work being carried out by dedicated volunteers. Interesting to see the hatching tanks and also see the returning salmon during spawning season. Worth a visit.

We got here right after lunch (they're closed from 12-1pm) and were the only people there. Chris took us around and showed us all of their pools of fish. Each of my kids (age 5 and 2) were able to catch a rainbow trout from one of their pools (very exciting) at $5 a piece. We then fed some smaller... More

Very good and educational place. It is not big, but worth to go. The staff is super friendly and kind enough to give us a tour. Strongly recommend a staff named David. You can let kid do the fishing in their fish farm (guarantee for a fish), and buy crab bait (frozen salmon), buy fresh fish, and he even stored... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the hatchery. We were really fortunate that one of the staff was able to give us a tour of the operation which we found to be very informative and enjoyable. His passion and enthusiasm for the hatchery, mission and surroundings was incredibly impressive. We have no hesitation in recommending a visit to others.
