The resort is huge. 2nd biggest in Canada. The runs are groomed perfectly and it has a great range of difficulties from beginners to real advanced skiers. Off piste is great, and so is the park. The runs are practically empty and the longest you'll ever wait in a lift queue is 5 mins (on a weekend in presidents week).... More

Want to experience a winter ski vacation with family and friends. There is no other resort in B.C. which can off you as much. Tod Mountain offers intermediate to expert runs, a lovely mid-mountain restaurant serves great food for you and your family, Sun Dance Mountain is for every level of skier, and Mt. Morrisey will give you many options... More

We have been here at least half dozen times and seem to alternate each year between here and Silver Star, staying for 5 - 9 ski days each time. This is a totally different experience to Whistler, and much much less expensive. Considering we like to stay on the hill and usually have a group so we rent chalets, that... More

Compared to whistler, it is not busy and cheaper than WHislter, there is a lot of snow, and it is better to learn because there are not too many people.

We picked Sun Peaks over Whistler as it was our honeymoon and preferred the quieter scene. What a fabulous choice, everything about Sun Peaks is amazing, the people are fabulous and the snow is pretty good too. There are 3 mountains to choose and every day the snow is different, you do need to see if it's been groomed or... More

My niece snow boards. The conditions Easter Sunday were perfect spring skiing. They'd had a dump (9 inches) of fresh snow the night before. It was spectacular, full sun. Very few people there. No line-ups. Village, hotels, restaurants, parking all within a few feet. My niece said it was possibly the best boarding of her life, beating out Whistler (too... More

Lifts were poor, considering the type of snowy weather we experienced. The best lift (for the very snowy (and rainy) weather) was a covered chairlift, where the screen was soon blocked by snow, thereby blocking the view for preparing to get off at the top. Even with an automated uncover, it required us to know when to take our feet... More

Wonderful mountain with excellent runs and facilities for all levels of skiers. Lines are a rarity except for one or two busy weeks of the season so the miles under the skis would have to be about the best ever. Can be quite cold, but it is a dry cold, and warm gear plus mittens with warmers will defeat it... More

The mountain is fantastic. The lifts are great, fast and a good amount of them. We are definitely going back!!

Mountains were great! Lots of terrain. Pretty foggy in the spring but reasonable and surrounded by lots of nice people working in the village and on the mountain.
