Hello Adventurers! Come join us for a kayaking adventure....some relaxation, fresh air & sunshine and exercise. Shake off the doldrums and immerse yourself in a quiet wilderness paddle. The scenery is spectacular here with mountain vistas, old growth rainforests, and our amazing wildlife. What better way to see all of this than to paddle the shores of beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada in a kayak. We are open from April to September. Adventuress offers fun wildlife tours, sunset paddles or multi-day adventures. Day tours and sunset paddles start as low as $69/person and include instruction, kayak and gear, dry bags and a certified guide; no experience necessary. Double kayaks are available to paddle with a friend or a younger family member. Check out our skill clinics, introductory lessons and full day Paddle Canada certified courses. Everything about this experience was awesome! I notified Adventuress Sea Kayaking, after looking at their reviews, that I would like to have a tour. Jan was very good at communication and working within my schedule along with hers. Because I was an international traveler, she accommodated me by letting me pay in person. The price was extremely reasonable for a tour, a quick tutorial, gear, and kayak. When I got to the spot in Nanoose Bay where we would be starting from, I was teamed up in a double kayak with another traveler. She was there with her family and was willing to do the double kayak with me. Everyone was lovely and our leader Zeah was a thorough teacher and an intuitive leader. She knew exactly how to accommodate everyone's needs and point out all the beautiful wild life there was and is to see. The tour is refreshing, moderately challenging, peaceful, and exciting. The title of the company suits the journey I encountered and never did I not feel safe or thoroughly assisted. I highly recommend this to anyone travelling and on a budget who would like to have a thorough and engaging experience. It was the highlight of my trip.

Another great rental experience with Adventuress Sea Kayaking Adventures. We rented 7 boats for a group outing and Jan was very prompt and friendly for all interactions. Jan made sure that everyone was properly fitted and equipped for a day on the water, including a safety talk and demonstration to make sure everyone knew how to stay safe and have fun on the water. I will definitely continue to rent through Adventuress for future group outings, and I recommend you give them a shot.

We met our excellent kayaking guide Zeah just off the shore of Nanoose bay. She expertly fitted us out with Kayaks, paddles, Kayak gear and life jackets. Next she gave us an effective demonstration on how to paddle, sit in a kayak and balance yourself. We were a family of 4 adults and had wanted to experience kayaking on Canada’s beautiful west coast and couldn’t have picked a more beautiful location. We set off along the coast of the bay to paddle along the coast line of the Georgia Strait. Alaskan bound cruise ships in the distance with the occasional harbour seal popping up meters away among the spectacular mountain/ocean landscape locked the smiles on our face. We were there for the sunset and it delivered in spectacular fashion. Orange, blue, green light show over the ocean and mountains was the highlight of the trip. We highly recommend this tour with this company.

I had a wonderful time! It was super easy to sign up for the sunset kayak trip. Once signed up for a trip and paid for, the information is sent to you quite quickly to let you know what to expect, how to dress, what is and what is not provided for you, where to show up and what time.
There were 6 of us on this adventure, with our knowledgeable guide Zeah, we had the kayaks by the water, walked through the safety rules, got suited up with skirts and life jackets and we were all set and ready to go.
In the water we went, and paddled out toward the open water. A couple of folks met up with a sea lion and made a friend before the sea lion saw a couple of guys fishing and went to where it felt it might get lucky with a fish ◡̈
The day was perfect for the trip, Zeah (our guide) chatted with all of us and made sure we were all doing okay. We had some clouds move in so the sunsetting was a little earlier than we hoped but I still managed to get some good photos.
If you are looking to book a kayak adventure with Adventuress Sea Kayaking, I would recommend taking the sunset trip, it was wonderful being out on the water, novice or experienced kayaker, its a perfect way to end the day.

My 11 year old granddaughter and I went on a sunset paddle and it was amazing. From first connecting with Jan the owner, she was informative, helpful and accommodating. Our guide Zeah was delightful helpful, competent, and full of knowledge about the water and the life in and around the water. It was truly a lovely evening

Our instructor (Zea) was a fantastic communicator and instructor. I now feel that I have the confidence to venture out on the water with a kayak. I know that there is much more to learn but this course represents a critical introduction to kayaking safely. I am thrilled to have taken this course. When I take more kayak courses it will definitely be through this group.

Zeah and Jan were awesome. They broke down every skill and were patient and supportive. Great to have instructors of 2 such different ages. They are both lovely, genuine humans and a pleasure to be with and learn from. I feel proud of myself for having starting learning kayak skills seriously at 68 – planning to kayak for many more years.”

I took a one day paddle Canada course with the adventuress on June 16. I cannot begin to say enough about Jan and Zeah for being such great instructors and hosts for the paddle Canada course. On top of that you are both such nice people and I now have a head full of information which I am going over and over. You have prepared me extremely well for my trip in August. Thank you and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone if you want to kayak and do it right go visit the Adventuress.

. I went out with Zeah and one other guest April 2, 2024 on a sea lion tour. Zeah was very friendly and knowledgeable of the the wildlife and area and gave tid bits of information as it came up. The kayak I was paired with was comfortable and stable, and the sea was calm and we were always somewhat close to the shorelines. We were never made to feel rushed as we fiddled by the sea lion haul out, getting lots of chance for observation and pictures. On the way back, we went up to a pier and saw some sponges and tiny baby jellyfish. All in all it was a good value for a unique experience.

I am a local and really wanted to get out on the water and kayak and this Sunset Ride was perfect. I met a family from the Netherlands and the guide, David, was very personable and knowledgeable. I enjoyed having that amazing experience in a safe and relaxed way. Thinking about going again. For the sunset and to see who I might meet next!
