This interpretive Center is a great place for a tour to stop and take in the nature surrounding you everywhere on this beautiful tour on the Cabot Trail which takes you right around Cape Breton Island with stops in Baddeck etc.

We went here as part of a cruise ship excursion on the same trip as the Alexander Graham Bell National Site. It is well worth the trip from Sydney. There is an big, old bridge that you can get some good photos of, and there are plenty of swimming opportunities in this huge saltwater lake.

The interpretive center closed 3 years ago. Some of its information can be found in the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. More information can be found at the info kiosk in town.

Things change. The building now houses a gift shop but the area offers up some wonderfully scenic views of the lakes. Take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the fishing boats bobbing on the lake..

A wonderful exhibit for all ages. Locally supported in an effort to attract tourism, they have done a good job and this should be a stop on your travels.

No longer there - just another over-priced gift store; as if Baddeck needed another gift store. Not even any reference to the history of the Old Post Office.

drop in for a quick few questions, staff was good, there was a lot of locals willing to answer question in the surrounding area and attractions and places to visit as well. Almost like everyone knows everyone and wants to help there business. The lakes are beautiful especially with the sailing boats going buy.
