This is a great place to visit in Ajax! The park is filled with lots of historical plaques with information and its just an amazing overall tribute to all the men and women who have risked their lives for our freedom. There are many benches and tables to sit at and in the summer, there are so many beautiful flowers.... More

Got to this place in Ajax. We parked on the street, it was a weekend, it was allowed. Did a lot of walking, it's a huge park. It was clean and well-maintained. There were pictures and flags to remind people what the roles of the veterans on Canadian history. It was an educational park that honours and recognize what the... More

Such a wonderful tribute to our men and women who risk their lives for our freedom. Loads of history in regards to our town and residents. Special acknowledgement to the beautiful arrangements of flowers.

A gorgeous and humbling recollection of the times and the honoring of those who fought for us during WWII. I am proud of all who does take the time to remember and not just on Remembrance Day. Great family trip and educational spot you may wish to take our future citizens. The grassy area of to the left is perfect... More

It used to be a nice place to go but now it's littered with Pokemon zombies. Very disrespectful with trash everywhere

As others have said this is a memorial for world war 2 veterans. There are plaques to read on the war history and the town of Ajax. The gardens are very pretty and well maintained and seating in the gardens and over looking the lake. There are both walking and bike paths. After walking here I always think that Ajax... More

This is a lovely memorial tribute garden to honour our veterans. It is in the centre of the park along the waterfront and worth stopping to look at. You might even "tear up" and reflect on what is happening in our world today with violence and hatred. The Town of Ajax and whoever else created this monument site have done... More

This is a nice little area with lot's of benches and beautiful gardens. It is quiet and relaxing. As well, since it is along the waterfront trail then it can be a good stop along your hike/bike ride to take a break. In summary: Clean, quiet, and nice flowers.

It tells about the battle of the River Plate during WW 2 ,also a lot about Ajax the town ,the naming of streets etc.I have taken my grand-children,family and friend from out of town and... More

Interesting history of Ajax and the battle of the River Plate (involving the HMS Ajax) on the various plaques. Nice spot to overlook the lake.
