A scenic, ocean-side golf course, Green Gables measures 7,000 yards from the back tees and has everything you would expect of one of the Island's top-rated links. Classic rolling greens guarded by deep bunkers, six water holes, an ever changing breeze and the dunes of PEI's famous north shore serving as a backdrop. This beautiful course was designed and built in 1939 by one of the world's most renowned architects, the late Stanley Thompson. Now, nearly seventy years later, another legend among architects has renewed the spirit of Green Gables. Thomas McBroom, whose designs have achieved innumerable awards and accolades, has blended his own unique perspective with Thompson's original concept to ensure Green Gables meets the highest standards of golfing expectations. "Two Master Minds, One Master Piece."

20016 - The course is in very good shape

One 2015 reviewer complained about the condition of greens. It all depends on the winter. All is OK for 2016. Note. I am a member at Andersons Creek and Green Gables. The... read more

Loved this course today. In super shape, lots of scenic holes, fast greens, & beautiful fairways. Staff exceptionally friendly & knowledgeable.

One 2015 reviewer complained about the condition of greens. It all depends on the winter. All is OK for 2016. Note. I am a member at Andersons Creek and Green Gables. The latter is a much more demanding course because of fairway bunkers and green undulation. This is an old fashioned course that was upgraded a few years ago. The... More

I enjoyed a morning golfing on this wonderfully designed course. It has some challenging holes and the par three's are beautiful but challenging. The back nine take you out toward the water and are beautiful. The last three holes are great...par 3 and two long par 5's. Great course!

There are over 25 golf courses on PEI. The rates here at Green Gables are way overpriced for the quality of the course and service you get. They charged us $60.00 for a half set of club rentals. We teed off after 1:00 p.m and the green fees were $100.00 each plus another $35.00 for the cart. Total rip off!

The routing of this course can leave you a bit confused but a second loop would be more fun. The staff, conditioning was great. The 5 pars can be reached by long hitters in 2, the 3 pars were all unique and interesting.A back side hole gives you a birds eye view of "The House of Green Gables". Matbe a... More

The course is lovely and enjoyable. Great staff and fine conditions. Our only complaint is that because the course is not rated by Golf Canada, the fantastic score I got cannot be used to calculate my handicap. As one of the most expensive courses on the island, this is unforgivable (a government of Canada failing?). The course needs to join... More

I visited green gables to play 18 holes of golf. We have been playing there on vacation for 20 ish years among the many other courses on PEI. The greens remain in a very poor state especially considering the green fees charged. After 9 holes We spoke to the pro shop staff who refunded our green fee in full. The... More

Very mature course and the people were friendly. Bunkers are a killer. LOL> loved it though. First time golfing for a friend and she loved it. course is clean but greens are damaged but they are working to make them better. Free range balls with purchase which is nice.

Some superbly picturesque not to mention testing holes. Got a great Sunday afternoon deal from very helpful , friendly staff. Unfortunately the greens have suffered from the extraordinary severe winter and wet June, but they are playable.
