Enjoyed seeing the historical side of Anne and being able to browse the items that were applicable to her era. The docent was very informative

This is a short visit, but made more interesting because one of Lucy Maude Montgomery's relatives gives a little talk about her life and how things used to be for her and tales about the family. Makes it seem more personal. Nice little gift shop.

A nicely done tribute to L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. Includes the house that inspired the author and a couple of nice hiking trails that tie into the author's story. A big plus is the low admission price.

I have not read, nor am I likely to, Anne of Green Gables. I did however enjoy visiting this site. The setting is picturesque. It is not overly commercial/touristy. The price is not excessive.

When we went to Green Gables, we decided to purchase the ticket for the Historic Site as well on a whim. We were so glad we did! We both agreed that we enjoyed seeing this site more than Green Gables itself (still wonderful). There was just something magical about standing and looking at the view that LM Montgomery had while... More

Fortunately our guide book had suggested starting our Anne time here rather than Green Gables. Could not believe how empty the car park was on an August Saturday. There is a small bookshop at the site where you can get a combined ticket to here and Green Gables. We were told there was a short introductory talk available and were... More

A very historic visit combined with the green gables walking tour and connected with the haunted woods walk...1.1km I believe...no problem doing both as they have a nice path....

Friendly, informative staff and nice gift shop. They will stamp books you purchase there with a special imprint so park there, walk down to Green Gables how the path behind (don't miss the side trip to the Cavendish Post Office) and pick up your gifts and books when you return to your car. A lovely day.

This was a beautifully serene site, with shade trees surrounding the excavated basement of The author's home while growing up with her Aunt. It was cool to see the perspective of how near she was to the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the actual path to the cemetery where she was buried, and the neighboring home of cousins, who still live... More

You can imagine L.M.Montgomery, writing about Anne and her imaginative stories in this quaint area. Although it is only the stone foundation, many photographs of the home and area paint a cleat picture of the time and area.
