We walked the beach briefly on a rainy cold day in September. It was beautiful and would definitely love to go back on a hot sunny summer day!

We were astounded by the beautiful beaches. The red sand and the dunes. Walked barefoot along the beach. The photos don't do it justice. The sand is deep red.

Quiet beach to relax on, people, birds and bugs were all scares - the sea was a bit cool for a swim, but the sand bars made it fun

If you go during September you have the beach all to yourself. Was absolutely beautiful and big. Can't wait for next year.

Don't get me wrong the beaches in PEI are truly national treasures, but North Rustico Beach had rock and seaweed making 1/2 of it not walkable at the water's edge. The short segment (200-300 meters) was very nice but nowhere near the gorgeous, long beaches...More

We did not go to the beach because of high winds, but enjoyed walking on the North Rustico boardwalk. North Rustico is a tiny community of 860 residents, but it has a couple of restaurants/cafes and a bakery. Very quiet and peaceful place.

This beach was very peaceful, yet felt secure as there were lifeguards on duty. Parking was also free!

Amazing shallow and peaceful beach. Great for kids since the water goes out very gradually. Had a fantastic day here today!

We visited many beaches in PEI but this one was my favourite. The sand was very nice with no rocks. The water was nice and warm, and there weren't a ton of people there. It was a very clean beach, and we loved the afternoon...More

Go to Brackley Beach in the PEI national park. Far prettier than Cavendish. Go to Richards Restaurant in Covehead for the best fish and chips! Brackley has a drive in theatre too. A trip into Charlottetown is a must! So much... More
