A tasty stop!

This store is beautiful and filled with chocolate and foodie items. Went in to look and left with too much chocolate. You can even see them make chocolate in the back.

Staff was friendly!

Nothing special really. Small and crowded. Prices are high. But it offers more than chocolate, with salts, oils, vinegars etc.

Great place for getting an ice cream; some interesting chocolate varieties too

ChocoMotive is located in the town's visitor centre, so it can't be missed.

Chocolate ice cream was pretty good and comes with one of their artisanal chocolates which was sublime.

Store has a wide variety of chocolate varieties that looked interesting, but were fairly expensive. Staff was ok but I wouldn't say overtly friendly

I wish they emphasized a bit more the fact that they do make their own chocolates and more details about that part; instead they had some informative panels documenting the history of chocolate in general.

Another issue (perhaps not directly related to ChocoMotive) is the lack of seating that's close-by.

Definitely recommended for stopping for an ice cream (as there aren't any other options) but I'll leave it at your discretion for the rest.

What a place. Walked in and the smell, heavenly . Bought a couple of things then went back to the hotel. Of course the following morning went back and bought assorted chocolates and gifts for neighbours. We would definitely go back.

This is a good stop for individual made chocolates and local craft beers. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are many different chocolates to choose from and some really chunky racing cars and motorbikes for the racer come chocolate lover. You always pay a premium for top rate items, however the prices here are very reasonable for the quality of the chocolate. There is also a very nice picnic area to the rear of the station plus facilities.

Chocolate made in heaven !

I'm Belgian, and I know chocolate ! But when I tasted, some years ago, the black chocolate of this small boutique (where you can see the chocolate maker at work), I can assure you that this one is the best. At a fair price for the quality. So, for years now, I go from Ottawa to Montebello just to buy my chocolate at Chocomotive. I became addict.

Know what you're getting before complaining

Some people don't appreciate that there is a difference between candy and chocolate, true chocolate. If you're expecting to get a chocolate candy bar, this place isn't for you. While the store is small, the selection is varied and extensive. Friendly staff, decent prices for what you get.
