This is the center of town, its the plaza where all of the locals spend their sunday afternoons and leasure time eating a buñuelo, some ice cream of one of the millions of flavors (Avocado, mole, corn, banana split, tequila, and many others), and just plain watch time go by. You can walk from the square to the different arts... More

We enjoyed our day trip to this town. We planned a trip to follow the footsteps of the revolutionaries to better understand the history of the country and being in this place it felt magical. You can touch the church were everything began and walk through the streets in which they walk toward their liberation effort.

This is a very nice plaza in the center of town honoring the revolution. There is a statue of Miguel Hidalgo in the center and the perimeter is surrounded by shade trees and lots of benches. There were many locals just sitting, talking or reading. There is a sense of history in the air. This is a nice stop on... More

This is a lovely plaza in the center of Dolores Hidalgo. Great place to hang out, people watching. You can buy home made ice cream with different flavors and enjoy and relax. There are also nice places to eat from.

Delores Hidalgo is an interesting town to spend an afternoon in. Enjoyed the sights and good food. The church is beautiful. The park is a great place to photo sights.

I went to the intersection Puebla and taumipulas and there are two cute ceramic stores, that's all. No park. No "centro" or plaza and no jardin. I'll keep exploring and the give good coordinates on where to find more. -

There is a lovely park is in the center of Dolores Hidalgo and is a hub of activity. Schoolchildren were leaving school and buying ice cream, families and friends were enjoying each other's company and everyone seemed to be enjoying the beautiful day. There are several shops in the area where you can buy handmade pottery and ceramic items. There... More

This is such a fascinating street and park. Many vendors of toys and unusual ice creams. Have some wipes on hand because it is drippy. Great for people watching! Statuary and bandstand. Loved the sculptures of lifesize women made from plants. Stroll, sit, rest and look. Spend at least 30 minutes,

We went to Dolores Hidalgo from San Miguel de Allende, for a day trip! Had a fantastic time! Visited 3 Artisans Markets, had some delicious ice cream! Bought Talavers plats and serving. dishes. To Dolores we took a Taxi, and it cost us 200 pesos, about 12 USD, and returned in the bus for 49 pesos. About $4 USD
